Cambridge Libraries Survey 2023

The Cambridge Libraries Survey runs from Monday 13 February until Friday 10 March 2023 (deadline extended).

The survey is run by Cambridge University Libraries’ Head of Assessment and User Experience, Dominic Dixon, using the standardised LibQUAL+ survey instrument which is adapted to suit the collegiate university context. Once the survey is closed, Dominic will analyse the survey responses and make the data available to Cambridge libraries staff.

The survey asks respondents to share their views and experiences of using library services across the University of Cambridge. The information gathered gives our libraries valuable perspectives to inform service provision and planning. This survey was last run in 2020 and will be run again in around 3 years. Over time, the survey findings help us to measure our progress in meeting users’ needs.

You can find further details about why the survey happens and how the results are used on this page: Cambridge Libraries Survey | Cambridge University Library

Many library users in Cambridge are likely to use more than one library, and many will use virtual or online services and resources that they don’t associate with a particular library site. Your help in promoting the survey to your own users is invaluable. It will be fantastic if you are able to help cascade the invitation to take the survey within your Faculty, Department or College, and promote the survey and the incentive to respond as much as you can within your area.
